Will this pay keep my Carer's Allowance?
Put in the figures from your payslip. We'll work out your earnings the way the Carer's Allowance rules count them and check them against the weekly limit. In Scotland, it works the same way for Carer Support Payment.

Difference
Going over only pays off once your earnings that count are above £290.45 a week (£204 plus the £86.45 you'd lose). If you get Universal Credit or other benefits, losing Carer's Allowance can change those too, so check with a benefits adviser before deciding.

Before you rely on this
This is a guide, not a decision. The office that pays you makes the final call: the Carer's Allowance Unit, the Disability and Carers Service in Northern Ireland, or Social Security Scotland.
If your pay changes week to week, they may average your earnings over a period, so one high week doesn't always mean you lose a payment.
It only checks earnings. You also need to care for at least 35 hours a week and meet the other conditions.
If you go over the limit, tell them straight away. Waiting can turn into an overpayment you have to pay back.
Self-employed? Your earnings are usually averaged over a longer period, often a year, so check with them.
In Scotland, Carer Support Payment has replaced Carer's Allowance. It has the same £204 limit, and if any week goes over, your earnings are first averaged over 5 weeks, so one high week may not stop your payment.
